...not so easy...
The PDF directions for the large pumpkin were well written and displayed clear well documented pictures for each step. This is the first time I’ve worked with braided rope. I ordered the 3mm on line. When I received the rope, it appeared to be thicker than I expected. I measured & cut the rope lengths as directed, however I ran out of rope on Step 47. With 8 short ropes in each pumpkin section, I did one more SK using the middle ropes 3-6. In order to complete the pumpkin, I was able to gather the 8 ropes in each section with a gathering knot & then pull them into the pumpkin center. Those 8 sections were then tied together. To my relief, my adaptation actually turned out great. Since the rope I bought seemed to be too thick, I recut my stem lengths much longer than stated in the material measurements. Overall, the large pumpkin is adorable. I also purchased the PDF for the small pumpkin which I will make at a later date. I will be using a 3mm 3-ply rope (much thinner than the 3mm braided rope I just used) so the provided measurements should be fine.
